The cable installer recommended that we try this place for lunch, and she nailed it. The lunch buffet was everything we hoped for from a local joint. It here was lots to choose from included fried chicken - both regular and spicy, fried liver in gravy, stewed chicken, rice, mashed potatoes, greens, green beans, corn, biscuits and corn bread, and pudding and brownies for dessert. Of course there were fried green tomatoes as well. The spicy fried chicken was my favorite. The breading was crisp and not too greasy. Lots of food for a very reasonable price.

After one of the Yelp BFF's introduced this spot to me I can say officially yay I'm a fan! This restaurant lays off Lamey Bridge Rd and has very limited hours so if you work 40 hours a week between 6am and 2pm Mon-Fri then unfortunately you will never get to experience this restaurant. It is also closed on weekends as well. They are open just for breakfast and lunch and provide good family cooking with an a 'la carte menu as well as some good all you can eat fried chicken and all the fixings. We went ahead and got the fried chicken lunch buffet. Yes at $13.00 a head it may seem high but if you come for the fried chicken and have a good appetite then you may get your moneys worth just compare it to Popeyes 3 piece with a side and you do the math! The restaurant is quite small inside but manages to fit you and your guest.
They have a nice salad bar with fresh veggies, cheese, and potato salad but you already know I wasn't here for that. I went straight to the fried chicken where it was piled on high piece on piece coming straight out of the deep fat fryer. They have mild and spicy you can choose from. They also serve fried chicken gizzards. Also on the menu is your standard mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans and many more. For the meats they have BBQ chicken and fried fish strips. They serve gumbo and white rice and have corn bread and dinner rolls and of course fried green tomatoes. The chicken was juicy and crispy and had tons of tremendous flavor. The spice level was on point on and I really enjoyed dipping it in that good ole brown gravy. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy and at the right consistency. The Fried green tomatoes were tasty and battered to perfection!
Overall nice little restaurant if you want your fried chicken cravings to be satisfied then this is the spot. I definitely recommend to try this place out and fill up on the chicken first then slide in the sides as you eat. Solid 4 stars for me!

My coworkers and I were trying to find a good place for lunch so of course I went straight to YELP. I read the reviews and looked at the pictures and I was sold!  This restaurant is a delicious down home place. The buffet was very clean and the food was fresh. The fried chicken...OMG! Freshly fried and crispy. They also have lots of side dishes to include, a salad bar, red beans and rice, and cabbage. This place is truly a gem!

Found this little place on yelp, tried it and it was really good. Will return the next time in town. Only wish they'd had collard greens the day I went!
Also, the folks there were nice!

Great down home place for breakfast.  The decor reminds me of what Cracker Barrel pretends to be.  I had Shrimp and Grits which was yummy. Excellent grits, lots of shrimp and wonderful creamy sauce.  Hubby had the standard eggs sausage combo which was good.  Excellent coffee!
